Obituary for Ralph Elbert Jones

Ralph Elbert Jones
Life Story

Ralph and I grew up in Augusta Georgia. We come from large families, and knew each other well.
I first met my beloved husband and friend Ralph Jones in middle school. During our time in high school, we fell in love and married after graduation. At the time, Ralph had enlisted in the Air Force and was transferred to Travis Air Force base in California, where we had our daughter La Shawn.

Ralph enjoyed spending time with our small family, we've done everything from picnics in the park, bowling, movies, to attending every local event available. When spending time with the guys, it was fishing, golfing, watching sports, playing cards, and his love for dominos that reign supreme. He also, loved to cook and collected recipes often. He loved listening to music and took pride in his album collection. That all came second to his reading. His book collection was extensive. All kinds of books filled our home. In the early years, it was the various comic books, with a focus on Marvel and DC. As he matured, he took to Dean Koontz, John Grisham and Stephen King, to name a few. Writing was just one of his many talents, as well.

My husband was a big man, and may have appeared intimidating, but he was the most kind hearted, gentle, and caring person, I was blessed to know. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Ralph was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. I will always love and miss him.

He is forever in our hearts and memories.
